School of Nursing & Medical Technology, Jianghan University
The history of School of Nursing and Medical Technology can be traced back to the first English missionary nursing school in Wuhan, which was founded in 1907 by G.E.Stephenson. Since its establishment, the school has cultivated more than 40,000 medical professional talents in various occupations.
The school offers education of nursing and medical technology. It includes 60 faculty members, among which one third has either master degree or Ph.D. Its current college programs include Nursing; Nursing (International Standard); Medical Image, Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation; Oral and Dental Techniques; Midwifery & obstetrics.
The school has been highly respected for the pioneer English & Nursing program in 1985 and its achievement. The commitment of the program is fulfilled by the graduates’ active global involvement in nursing. The school keeps on opening-up and strengthens its international cooperation and partnerships. In 2009, the school has become a sister school with Vuxentbildningen in Sweden. In 2010, it starts a joint BSN program with Georgia Regents University in USA. It is also the English training base for nurses in Wuhan, a testing center of METS and ISPN.
